We make the most comfortable, durable replacement cushions. Our seat cushions are made from polyethylene foam wrapped in polyester batting. We use outdoor fabrics that repel water, but the cushions are not waterproof. Water can leak through the seams. This makes them suitable for covered areas. For uncovered areas, the cushions should be brought out of the weather or the furniture should be covered when not in use. This will extend the life of the cushions and the furniture. If they do get soaking wet, place them with their zippers down in a sunny location to drain the water.
The standard size wicker cushions are made from fiberfill and will dry quickly.
The Chasco Designs, Lloyd Flanders Nantucket and Heritage cushions are made from polyethylene foam and should not get wet.
Our back cushions are fiber filled and are the same for indoors and outdoors. Some styles (not all) are available with or without buttons.
Our cushions are available in either spun polyester or solution dyed acrylic.
Spun Poly Fabrics:
The beauty of a spun poly fabric is the rich colors and patterns that are available. Spun polyester fabrics are pigment printed; therefore the color is on the surface of the fabric. They are rated at between 500 -1000 UV hours, hence they are more fade resistant than cottons or blends.
We recommend spun poly fabrics in areas that do not get heavy use and are not exposed to a high level if sunlight. There in no warranty on spun poly fabrics.
To clean spun polyester fabrics, use warm water and mild detergent, rub gently, rinse with water and air dry. Do not use chlorine bleach, harsh detergents, or abrasives on printed fabrics. For stubborn stains dry cleaning in recommended. Never wash your cushions in a washing machine.Solution Dyed Acrylic Fabrics:
Our solution dyed acrylic fabrics are the most durable fabrics on the market today for outdoor use. We only use genuine Sunbrella fabrics for our acrylics. Sunbrella fabrics are solution dyed; therefore the color is all the way through the fabric, not just printed on top. They are rated at over 2000 UV hours, the top standard in the industry.
Sunbrella fabrics can be used anywhere, even outside in direct sunlight. We highly recommend Sunbrella for heavy duty use. Sunbrella has a 5 year warranty.
